Risk and adventure…. Abseiling

Fancy a bit of risk in your life?  Invite your mate and come along to try some abseiling after our April men’s breakfast!

So Saturday 28th April, you could join us at our breakfast at Wetherspoons 8-9am,then we plan to shoot off to Wells for a spot of abseiling!

If you can’t get to the breakfast we plan to meet at Split Rock Quarry – near Wells at 10:00am and go from there.

Give us a shout if you’re interested, and use this event to invite your adventurous mate!

April Men’s Breakfast

Join us Saturday 28th April for our next men’s breakfast!

Fancy a full English with a band of brothers? Come and join us at 8:00am, the Bath Arms on the high street (41, Market Place, Warminster BA12 9AZ).

 

Meeting at 8am, we plan to eat about 8:15am, and be finished up by about 9:00, set up perfectly for the rest of the  weekend.

This is a great opportunity to invite your friends along to another Strive event, share a great time together and enjoy a big breakfast. So invite your mates!

The price is likely to be about £3-5 each depending on what you chose from their amazing menu!

April coffee and bible

BIBLE & COFFEE IS THIS WEEKEND!

This Sunday is our evening spot for some coffee & bible.

So come and join us in the Rose Room (upstairs) at Christ Church, Warminster. We’ll start from 7.30pm (to 8:30ish) 15th April.

These catch-ups consist of a relaxed chat through a chapter or two from a book of the bible, of course with a coffee. (other drinks are available if necessary!)

Currently we’re looking at our partner organisation CVM’s Codelife study.  Don’t worry if you’ve not been before – these are easy dip in/dip out stand alone sessions (as well as a great series!).  You can read more here www.codelife.org.  This month we will look at;

Looking away from the depravity we can see all around us is only part of the challenge. Getting your sleeves rolled up and your hands dirty with lives that are ugly, complicated, stinky and lost is another matter all together. As Christians we are called to live Holy lives and part of that process is in how we conduct ourselves and give ourselves in serving others. We’ll consider some subjects that can often open our lives to gutters that pull us away from being the godly men we strive to be.

Sunday April 15th, from 7:30pm in the Rose Room (upstairs) , Christ Church, Warminster.  We plan to make these meetings fit in everyday life, so we promise to finish at 8:30pm.  

What is it like?  We take a chapter or two, read it through together & chat about what we find. Absolutely no experience of the bible is necessary, all you need is a thirst to find out more & a willingness to share in a safe environment.

Where is it? We will meet in the Rose Room (upstairs in the main church), Christ Church, Warminster; see map below.

What shall I bring?  Yourself!  We will supply coffee/tea and a bible if you like.

Is there any cost?  No, not a bean!
