March Men’s Bible Study

bibleOur next bible study is this coming Saturday!

Our men’s bible study consists of a relaxed chat through a chapter or two from a book of the bible, of course with a coffee!

Saturday March 14th, 8.30am in Christ Church Hall, Warminster.  We plan to make these meetings fit in a busy schedule, so we promise to finish by 9:30 at the latest.

What is it like?  We take a chapter or two, read it through together & chat through what we find. Absolutely no experience of bible study is necessary, all you need is a thirst to find out more & a willingness to share.

Where is it? We will meet in the Church Hall, Christ Church, Warminster; see map below.

What shall I bring?  Yourself!  We will supply coffee/tea and a bible if you like.

Is there any cost?  No, not a bean!

Look forward to seeing you there.

Working Party 3.0

Calling all men – we have another job to do!

In December and February we filled 2 skips, that’s about 10 tons of stone moved from underneath a dying yew tree.  Amazing work guys!

Before all the lovely birds started nesting there has been a huge effort from the church maintenance team to prune all the trees and shrubs.  Which has left us with small piles of branches etc over the church yard.

So this time no heavy rubble! The plan is to shift those branches into a few heaps for a bonfire.

Join us in some banter and bonfire building in the Christ Church grounds from 10am this Saturday 9th March.

All you need to bring is yourself & some sturdy gloves!

We plan to be done in an hour or so, allowing you to be back in plenty of time for FA Cup football! (come on you blues!)

No need to pre-book this one – it’ll just be great to see you there.

Any questions drop us a line; strive.warminster@gmail.com

24-7 Prayer

24-7 PrayerExciting news, there is a 24-7 prayer event happening in Warminster!

The event runs Sunday 17 Feb 6pm through to Saturday 23 Feb 6pm at Christ Church.

There will be a series of prayer stations, all offering different ways to pray.

We encourage you to go and use this event, it will really help you to engage with God – superbly timed for Lent as well.  We’ve been fortunate enough to attend a few before, and they are really excellent times to find new ways to pray.

We have booked 8-9pm Tuesday 19 February as a Strive session.  Please do come along to that.  Timed to fit in after work, a perfect way to end your day!

Don’t let that limit you though, remember it’s a 24-7 event, you literally have all week to go & as many times as you like!

Look forward to seeing you there!

Working Party 2.0

Men at work!

Calling all men – we have a job to do!

In December we filled a skip, that’s about 5 tons of stone moved from underneath a dying yew tree.  Top work guys!

Unfortunately that was half the job, we still have the dying yew tree in Christ Church yard.  More rubble etc is around the base and causing it distress.

So come together men & let’s finish the job!

Join us in some banter and rubble shifting in the Christ Church grounds from 10am this Saturday 2nd February.

What you need:  Yourself & some gloves

What you’ll get: A bit of fun & banter, as well as an enormous sense of well being for saving a tree (and maybe a cake & a cuppa if you do a good job!)

We plan to be done by midday, that’s the time it took to fill the skip last time so it won’t be longer than that.

No need to pre-book this one – it’ll just be great to see you there.

Any questions drop us a line; strive.warminster@gmail.com
