September Men’s Breakfast – Saturday 28th from 8.30am

Mens BreakfastJoin us Saturday 28th September for a tasty full English breakfast & superb guest speaker Tom Hamblin.

Tom was born into poverty & cruelty, became a paper seller on street corners at 14. He was in trouble with police, known to be a ‘ Bookies runner ‘. Life dramatically changed at 17, he went into RAMC at 18 to Singapore & Malaya, married Edna at 20 and then he worked with a well known former Communist Leader for 2 years traveling all over UK. Eventually he and Edna traveled widely to Asia, Borneo, Ireland working in ‘The Sandes Soldiers and Airmens Homes ‘ ( Now known as Sandes Centre’s ).

After many years with Sandes, he spent 10 years with the Tribal people in Borneo, and then 16 years in Arabia, working in 12 Muslim Nations…. he was arrested 5 times, not for breaking the law but for carrying Bibles in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, French. He never smuggled but his transparency was a challenge to Muslim authorities. He and Edna restored an ancient Anglican Church in Yemen which was desecrated and almost destroyed. They built a Free Medical Clinic and Eye Clinic which serve over 12 -15,000 each year. He was told a few times that ‘ One day you will meet the queen ‘…it never happened, but he knows for certain that one day he will meet The King of all kings and queens. Come and hear some of his amazing experiences and escapades.

From 8:30am, Saturday 28th September, Christ Church Hall Warminster (directions below).
