This Saturday Strive will be holding our monthly men’s breakfast at Christ Church hall starting about 8.30. As well as the fellowship of other men and the excellent breakfast cooked by our own chefs we also have a guest speaker.
Mark Thorpe is a doctor and a serving officer in the British Army; in that role he has served in places as diverse as Belgium and Brunei, Canada and Iraq, Afghanistan and Kenya. He is also a painter (that’s with an easel and canvas not a quick coat of emulsion!) and a poet. Mark is also a man with a fantastic sense of family; his wife and children obviously but also the wider families that he is part of. The army and the Church.
Mark is going to talk to us about how his relationship with the living God has shaped his professional life, please do come along and join us on Saturday 25th February. Drop us a line if you’re thinking of coming; firstname.lastname@example.org
If you’re the sort of guy who likes to plan ahead then check your diary for 31st March when our guest is a physicist who had his own nuclear fusion reactor! Who says science and church don’t mix!
